A Mountain Sanctuary Rooted in Earth, Art, and Regeneration
Nestled in the cloud-kissed mountains above Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, Metamorfinca is more than a retreat—it’s a living, breathing expression of harmony with the natural world. Just 35 minutes from Uvita, this sanctuary offers a cool, lush escape for locals on the coast and a soulful space for retreat hosts seeking something sacred and grounded.
Birthed from the vision of stewards Irishapi and Kensheta—known to many as Dani and Billy—Metamorfinca is a place where nature is not just the backdrop, but the guide. The architecture is inspired by the land itself, built from sustainable materials like bamboo, earth walls, and locally sourced teak. In collaboration with Living Space, a Costa Rican design-build team specializing in custom work, every structure on the land was shaped with intention—to flow with the contours of the mountain, invite in the breeze, and create an environment that feels alive.
